Why should I choose a FlexCourt basketball court?

When you play on a FlexCourt basketball court, you’ll immediately notice the difference in your game. That’s because our outdoor courts use ProStep™ and SoftStep™ tiles that act as incredible shock absorbers to help reduce the wear and tear on your joints while you play. The end result? You’ll be able to practice those jump shots longer, challenge your friends to pick up games more often and give yourself more time to shine and play the game you love. Here’s a quick snapshot of some other advantages our courts will bring to your home.

  • Fast and easy installation for a DIY project (professional installation also available)
  • All-weather surface for easy maintenance and cleaning
  • Quick drying and fast draining systems – no standing water or puddles
  • Low heat radiation tiles that help control temperatures – no more sweltering pavements

How are FlexCourt tiles different than other tiles on the market?

family smiling with their flex court which has a make a wish logo on it

Forty years ago when FlexCourt invented and patented the first outdoor sports tiles, we designed them based on the orthopedic concept that we could reduce lateral and vertical stresses athletes experience playing sports simply by changing the court they play on. The idea took off and we became the first to bring high-performance modular sports courts to the market. Today, we continue to lead the modular game court world by improving our tiles even more. Our tiles feature the highest level of shock absorption and FleXion rating in the industry and we have the best TraXion surface (tested and undisputed) available on the market today. Say goodbye to slippery courts! Plus, our recreational courts use the same tiles you see in professional training facilities and recreation centers around the world, so you know you’re getting a superior product.

Should I choose ProStep tiles or SoftStep tiles?

While both our ProStep and SoftStep outdoor sports tiles are completely safe for all ages to play on, some parents with younger children wanted a basketball court with a smoother surface than our ProStep tiles offered. So, when they asked us to create a superior traction, non-abrasive version, we listened and developed SoftStep tiles. Abrasive-free while still providing the same orthopedic stress reduction as our ProStep tiles, Soft Step tiles are ideal for families with younger children as well as all-around players.  Each SoftStep tile features Triple FleXtraction technology which incorporates three different height levels of traction into the tile and makes SoftStep the best tractioned, non-abrasive tile on the market.
